AMERICAN JUNIOR ACADEMY OF SCIENCE
Annual Meeting Photo Scrapbooks
Today (2016) the more than 1,100 students who attended AJAS annual meetings from 1991-2001 range in age from 30-40+. Many are in the prime of their STEM careers. These AJAS Alumni make excellent role models to inspire other STEM students.
Each scrapbook generally contains schedules, rosters of students and photos of field trips, award banquets, poster displays and oral presentations. Use low resolution files for keyword searching such as finding student or state names and for extraction of text. Use high resolution files to extract color photographs with an image clipping program such as Snagit® or Adobe Acrobat DC®.
This resource will encourage member academies to seek out alumni and portray their current careers in the NAAS Newsletter and in state publications. Based on Ohio’s experience, alumni of junior academy programs will provide in-kind and financial support to member academies and AJAS.
